Whitney Robeson
A daughter, a sister, and a friend whose warmth made everyone she met feel they belonged.
Her story
Whitney grew up in Virginia and studied interior design at Auburn University, where she saw beauty in every room and loved seeing the world. She loved children deeply, and during college she worked with LovEvolve, whose Love Swaddle Mission gives newborns and their families a soft, warm start.
Whitney lived with inimitable grace; keen, quiet attentiveness and loyalty; boundless generosity and an uncanny way of always knowing just what she needed to do.
After Whitney’s passing, her family did not want flowers. They asked instead that people help wrap newborns in Love Swaddles in her name. More than 1,200 swaddles have been gifted in her memory so far, including 100 given to Centra’s Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg, where caregivers began wrapping babies on August 1, Whitney’s birthday.
The foundation
Whitney H. Robeson Foundation was created by Whitney’s family, Carrie, Matt, Griffin, and Payton, to continue the good she brought into the world. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports newborns and their families, students, and the places that meant the most to her, and it will grow to include new causes over time.

Knowing Whitney’s love is here and in other places brings a measure of comfort to us all. Whitney was a kind and loving young woman who loved children. I can only imagine her loving presence will wrap these children just as the swaddles will.
